This fabulous cushion has been designed and crafted by textile artist Khun Pranee who is based in Chaing Mai, Thailand. The overstitching has been done by women in surrounding villages then the pieces are brought back to Chiang Mai to be finished. The backing is made from hand batiked hemp by Hmong people of Laos. The symbols reflect their beliefs. They see themselves as people of the forest and the organic nature of the fabric reflects this. These cushions are a keepsake.
